i need to get one done as sooN as possible - does anyone know of anywhere in central london that can do this ?
If you have an old walkman somewhere, you can run it through your soundcard. Even if you don't have any specialized software, you can use the sound recorder to make wav files. The cable to hook it up shoudn't be hard to find.
Do the line-in recording as Hawanja above noted...and Google: audacity It's better than Windows' Sound Recorder and has some built-in sound enhancing tools for older material like LPs and cassettes.
Just connect your old cassete player headphone out to your computer's sound card line in. Then, with Audacity, record the audio. Simple.
Thanks for all this chaps!!! Just remembered/found out that my Nokia N95 has a record facility so, hey ho!!!!!
