I'm getting back in to some audio editing for a project I'm working on and thought it would be cool to make an extended version of Ghostbusters. Yeah, cheesy and some may say complete shit song but anyway that's what I choose since all the "mixes" I heard in the past were, well... crap. that's not to say mine is any good mind you. What I'd like you to do is tell me if you can hear any joins, out of tempo, clicks and so on in my extended mix. Personally I think it's solid but I'd like to hear others opinions. If you do notice something please note at what point in the song for me. DOWNLOAD My extended mix Original version to to compare it to. Yakumo
Yeah, I didn't hear anything, though I've had a nice big OJ and vodka so I'm not the most reliable opinion. The overall aural quality is excellent, I assume this was direct from CD, and not an MP3 that was re-compressed for that file?
There seems to be a Small Discrepancy after 3:50 and onward with the vocals. The vocals until that point had slightly less Low-Mid Range frequency Information. Nothing the average person is going to notice though.(although I think my ears might be playing tricks on me again haha) The Tempo seems to stay sync'd up rather well throughout. Did you add all the new sections yourself or was added on from another version of the song?
I had a listen but couldn't notice anything. maybe your ears were playing tricks on you  The mix is compossed of 3 different versions of the song. The pain was that one of the versions had a slightly faster tempo than the other two which I had to fix. That took ages. Actually that may be the cause of the discrepancy with the vocals you mentioned. Yakumo
Ah that could be it. Depending on how you did it, Slowing Tempo's Down to match other tempo's (with pre-Recorded material) can be painful and results not always desired. LoL. But Good work XP
