I think this has been brought up before but recently quite a few threads with huge pictures have been cropping up. Its pretty annoying when viewing as everything is stretched to fit the pictures which has led to me sometimes missing peoples posts.

Any chance this issue could be solved pretty easily or is it more effort than its worth?

I use a firefox plugin called imagezoom when I want to shrink annoying pictures that are too huge. If you use firefox you might find it useful.

Just in case you're one of the few using Opera, try Ctrl-F11 (Fit-to-width). Pity you can't make it the default.

In my opinion, images should be the posters' responsibility - If someone insists on sharing huge-ass pics, he should think about using one of the free image hosts and post a linked preview thumbnail instead.

I don't use firefox anymore due to issues I had with it crashing all the time. I find Google Chrome much better and secure!

Given how long it took for hyperlinks to be automatically underlined, I wouldn't hold your breath for this, guys.

And does it really matter? It's not like it fucks up the rest of the page layout when someone posts bigger images.

There are plenty of plugins on vb.org that deal with this.
It's just download, import, tweak config a bit, done....

Please wait. Assembler is having some problems with his internet provider.

When he gets back, i'm sure he'll look into this.

For now, everybody could just post 800x600 pictures.

I appreciate ASSEMblers current situation I saw in the thread he posted. I just wanted to make sure it was a problem that was known to him.

Actually, i was thinking on that as well, specially after all those huge pictures posted on that topic.
