Any XBLA that has unlockable stuff for Avatars has a CON called AvatarAwards in the root. Extracting this with Le Fluffie pulls out all of the individual avatar items, which can further be extracted the the asset.bin and icon.png for that item. From these basic files, I've reconstructed the individual avatar item CON and resigned it to work with my profile using YarisSwap. However, I still can't get it to show up in my list of wearable items even though I've done this plenty of times before with other, non-award items. Does anyone know if unlock information is stored in that asset.bin? That's the only thing I can think of as to why it's still wanting me to unlock the award before it will show up (even though I thought stripping it down to the asset.bin and icon.png and reconstructing would fix that). There's no real practical purpose for this...just tinkering around. =)
The unlock information is stored somewhere inside your profile in a completely undocumented file. Unless you have a good knowledge of STFS, and XBDF files it's a little complex.
I was afraid of that. I was hoping that by completely stripping the data out of it's container and recreating it, that it would act like a "normal" avatar item and not an award. It must be stored in the asset.bin, then.
so, if you done that with normal avastuff plenty of times, can you give me an advice? http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26989
