I'm curious if anyone here has the circuit diagram to make this thing. The only thing I can find online is an image attachment on the Sega-16 forums. I signed up a while ago, but accounts need to be validated manually, and mine seems to be in limbo. If anyone here is a member there, could you repost the diagram here, or send it to me via PM or sonething? Thanks! Alternatively, if someone has their own diagram, that would work, too. The only reason I mentioned Sega-16 is because I can't find it anywhere else
http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?22237-New-RGB-to-Component-converter-design-using-the-BA7230LS Apparently the guys working on this ended up getting better results with the BA7230LS, there is an extensive thread on the subject, I am just linking to you as I did not take any part in this.
I still have the problem where I can't view attachments because I'm not a member. I've read through all the threads, and they're very interesting, but I'm missing out on a lot when I can't see the schematics they're all referring to. It's not as if I don't want to join the forums or something. I do, and have registered. A while ago. There's nothing really more I can do other than wait for whoever validates new accounts.
Here is the schematic made by ACE for the BA7230LS circuit. I hosted it elsewhere so you can view it. How long since you registered? I dont remember it taking long when I registered on sega-16.
Well, the last email I received from them is dated may 16. I just tried re-registering using the same username and email as I did then, and it let me. So.... I dunno what's up with that. In any case, thanks for the schematic! Hopefully someone will validate my account soon so I can follow this more closely.
This could seem interesting, as I was never really that impressed with the Saturn's video output, especially compared to my SNES.
