    Hey Everyone,

So this guy was wondering why his WiiKey wasn't working. People offered numerous tips and tricks until finally he provided a picture of his install:

Surely this can't be the worst job ever (Pretty good for a 1st timer maybe?) but not good at all. Anyone else know of funny horror stories or images of installs gone wrong?

while it's a bad solder job I think it should work, he might have had a Drive with the IC legs cut and could be reason it did not work or the wiikey was not compatible with his drive.

Wait for Sneaky to post the pictures he has of a Xbox he bought. Somebody wrecked it. Lifted traces, cooked chips etc.

Look like a load of cold joints to me, which while can work usually have enough cramp in the style of things to either cause intermittent issues or stop something from working entirely.

Personally I've done a LOT of bad solder jobs before I discovered the magic of flux and a variable heat controlled soldering iron. While I can't claim my work now is AAA top notch it is at least good enough that I can look people in the eye over it. Before anyone asks no I don't have any shots of my horrible work...

How do they do jobs this piss poor? Until I had an idea of how solder flowed I used flux (I still do often) I have yet to do anything as bad as Jinn posted and I don't have the steadiest hands or very gold soldering skill.

So you've seen my XenoGC install? I tested it with an NTSC Beyond Good and Evil (PAL cube) and it didn't work, that cube's now been sitting in a cupboard for 5 years.

Long live PSO + BBA ^_^

Well, you guys win! (^_^); Much worse than my example. Though I have a feeling there is much more worse out there. Interested to see examples and stories. :)

EDIT: Does PCB burn that easily? Or are they just resting the iron on the board rather than on a wet sponge? :/

I'm not terribly familiar with the 360. Is it the fact that he used a playing card for something? Or is it those wires at the bottom?

Heatsink goes against airflow, and used something like chicken fence as a window for his xbox.
