Bad time for auctions?

I'm thinking about clearing out my store with $0.99 auctions this week but I'm not sure about the European holiday schedule. I always seem to clear out my shop at a time when either the US or Europe is in the middle of a major holiday...heh. So what's the deal in the EU right now? Summer vacation? Any big holidays in the next 2 weeks? I want to sell some audio/visual items and mostly Europeans buy them.

 

Yeah, as for Europe it wouldn't be the best time right now, since most of the peeps are already or soon in their vacations. Especially the Germans with their huge and long vacations.

 

Austria and Germany have their Summer vacation now

 

Holidays also started in the Netherlands and surrounding countries, and if I am correct they will start in August for the south European countries (then again those countries don't have budget for luxery by now)

 

I think Italy is on summer vacation too. Wouldn't start selling my goods until September.

 

really good to know as I've got a boatload of new vintage computer items i'm looking to sell and wanted to try and hit the peak sales for european enthusiasts.

 

This. People don't buy as much as usual.

 

Generally I had better sales in winter than in summer.

 

More staying at home dicking around. I almost never play games in the summer.

 

Same here, and my money doesn't go anywhere near my hobbys but to holidays & booze instead.

 

It is coming up to the school 6 week holidays here in England; I think maybe 2 weeks from now.
Since taking your children out of school for holidays is now a crime here you'll find most people wait until then for holidays.

 

Just by looking at the growth of flash sales and group sales sites you know companies are desperate to move some product
