Finally got the game to work in Emulation mode on my Dreamcast Dev-Kit ... I figured out how to do it :smt030 looks like it is a Version which was to be brought to the US market, but didn't make it and was released later to the European market as "MoHo" ... I haven't been able to check levels and some stuff like that, but the most noteable difference is the games name which is shown in the intro movie and on the title screen !! and to top it of: I was able to burn it to a GDR :smt023 works flawless with my system disc 2 on my retail DC ! If anyone wants a screenshot of the title, let me know, I will also post news if I find differences in the game !
I'd love to see pics of the title screen. :smt023 Also, you said it was released in Europe? What sort of game is it?
Here's a review of "Ball Breakers" released for PSX http://www.gaming-age.com/cgi-bin/reviews/review.pl?sys=psx&game=ballbreak Review (with title screenshot) of MoHo: http://www.3dgamers.com/games/moho/ (I will put the same picture up later with "Ball Breakers" ...) here's a quick "how to get the games on your harddrive to a GDR": - step 1: copy the files from your Dev-Box to your Harddisk (Devbox should be mounted in windows as removeable media) directorylayout on the devbox has to be something like: Gamename\DxSxTx where D=Disc, S=Session and T=Track) - step 2: create a GD-Layout using GD-Workshop ((reffered to as GD-W from now on), just drag and drop the various Directories to the appropriate tracks (important ones are Track 1, 2 and 5) - step 3: create a 1st_read.bin with "IPMaker" (also in the Dev/Utils/ directory of your SDK) - step 4: use that 1st_read.bin in GDW as the boot binary for the high density area of your GD (properties of Disc) - step 5: set your dev-kit to Emulation mode (GD-W) - step 6: Close the drive door and reset your Dev-Box if everything went right, it should boot the game now - step 7: Test-Write the whole thing (takes about 1 hour) - step 8: Burn baby burn ... if anyone needs help or doesn't want to do it on his/her own, you can send me the data from your Dev-Kit on a DVD-R and I burn it to GDRs for you ! (I guarantee, that I will NOT release any of your data to the public !!!!!)
You can't actually patent the phrase, but as soon as you created it the Copyright was yours :smt023 I guess you could sue him for copyright infringement :smt083 @ manopac, you're guide overall is reasonably accurate but still lacking soem details! Having not used a kit + SDK in 9 months my memory isn't too amazing, but back in the day I did knock up a guide but now it's lost to time hehe. ANyhow , maybe some of my notes will turn up sooner or later ...
Is that so? OK, in that case PrOfUnD Darkness, give me all of your rare games otherwise I'll sue you ass to hell and back :smt096 :smt033 :smt023 Yakumo
well, I can give more details, if someone wants some ! (just wrote down everything from the bottom of my memories today at work ...)
I remember playing a demo of Moho on PlayStation. You had to go through a 'killer' obstacle course with strange robots on balls with nice physics. Is this Dreamcast version compareable?
