I've posted before but thought I'd try again...I've been doing research for ages but found nothing and hope someone can help...my friend passed away a couple of years ago....He was a frat brother of mine and we collected together when not drunk...his familly gave me his box of gaming goodies when he passed..he loved the Pippin/atmark and I received his american and japanes Pippin/games...after a couple of months they gave me a disk they found with a label that said "College Thunder" "Pippin" .25tsv....after playing with it for a while I've found that you can scroll through teams and select start..it wont begin but if you select "connect" you can play 2 blank teams with identical colors (blue and white) for a quarter before it resets back to the beginning of the quarter...its verry buggy with only a couple of plays that work...I've found no info on the game whatsoever....I've searched for a year now with nothing...if there's anyone that knows something please let me know...if theres a lurker that doesn't like to post please email me at kdavis at comcast.net.. I'd really like to solve this puzzle..thanks
So this didnt go to full production I'm guessing yeah? Maybe ask Stringer @ http://www.pippinworld.co.uk/
Thanks PS...i've seen this as well as pretty much every pippin website out there...I'm hoping someone with inside info will read this as most rare game collectors read this board....as far as the internet sites are concerned I think I've run into a wall....i've searched the web in every language I can think of (through friends..thanks everyone) and still have found nothing...only thing I have to go on is his mom saying he received things labeled from California the last few months he was alive...I know he was die hard into his pippin those last few months so I'm guessing that disk came from california...
I don't think Apple will want to be reminded of the Pippin :smt043 Seriously, kstyle, that's a pretty intriguing mystery you got there. Perhaps a search of the patent database can help you? And, if it's a pressed disc, isn't the factory name/code stamped somewhere?
Well, they may not be proud of Pippin, but every time I've talked to Apple, even about old, obscure hardware, they've always been extremely helpful, it's worth a shot.
I've tried talking to Apple..they seem to want to help but I get caught in an endless game of transfer tag....spent over 2 hours on the phone one afternoon and talked to probably 6 different people...as for the stamp on the disk on the inside loop it has:FM 14152 41624 BA0034
