Apparently the Microsoft/LIVE servers have messed up and banned 360s are back online, which I guess is temporary, I dont know the reason, nor do I care, all I can say is exploit it and enjoy, I dont know if it works with banned JTAGs, dont ask. Check it out at 7s, various people have claimed this to be true.. deep3r
Wouldn't be a half bad way of giving Sony the finger. However given most of those banned 360s were probably banned because of running modified DVD firmware I wouldn't anticipate it being a deliberate action. Plus the latest dash updates nail AP2.5 down hard that unless you've reverted to stock they'll just get rebanned fast.
My first guess too, but I wouldnt think they would need flashed boxes or JTAGs online since for one, tey know what they are dealing with on the flashed boxes since its public to use/download so obviously they can research and patch internally and secondly, JTAGs are kept offline already... I bet it is M$ just taunting Sony like you said, I like their style
DVD firmware mods might be allowed back on since the new dashboard is supposed to reflash the DVD firmware of certain drives anyway. I doubt it has anything to do with Sony.
I completely agree to the latter. The former I've yet to hear, but it sounds like a great way to increase the customer base for Live.
so 1mill 360s back on live lol, i wonder what ever happened to all them banned consoles they seems to just disappear
