The best thing you can do to fight spammers is install a mod that prevents users w/ under X post count (5 or 10) from posting a list of words (http:, .com, .net, @, etc.). I did it, and I get maybe 1 spam a week, and it's just one of those "l@l, wrong foroom... sorrrry!!!" ones. Not only that, you know it pisses them off going through the hassle of trying, but not being able to post.

Can i ask.. Ntlworld.com is one of the largest suppliers of cable broadband here in the UK, how come they are banned too? I know i had this problem when i first tried registering so ended up using a Yahoo address (which just about anyone can get tbh, just like hotmail).. At least with NTL you have to subscribe to one of their services. Im not picking fault and appreciate that there must be barriers in place to prevent spamming etc.. but looking at the obvious name throughout that list.. NTLworld is suprising... Keep up the good work though.
Sorry, I am only basing mine off of real life experience, and common sense. A spammer is not going to bother fucking w/ their post count... they don't even know how many they have to have before they can properly spam. If they do, there are other measures you can take.
