I just saw this today and I have a question. Is Bruce Waynes father really alive while Bruce is an adult? If so that's a big departure from the original story. I know Zack Snyder likes to make big changes to the stories tho so I won't be suprised if that's really the case. If so, why didn't they show when his mother died? So Batmans dad dies during Man of Steel, what were they doing in metropolis anyway? Perhaps some of this stuff is explained in the directors cut but I don't have plans to buy either blu-ray. Watching it once on PPV is good enough for me until it comes on the movie channels.
At the very beginning of the movie you see a flash back of his parents being murdered outside the theater? Did I miss something? I watch the ultimate edition btw, if that even matters.
I'm pretty sure there was a flashback of Bruce Wayne in Metropolis while the aliens are invading and he's talking to his dad on the phone who is in one of the skyscrapers that collapse during the fight.
I just googled the answer, Bruce was saying "Jack!", not "dad!". http://movies.stackexchange.com/questions/50976/who-was-the-man-in-the-wayne-building
It takes a long time before anything really happens. But the premise/plot is interesting. The ultimate edition is 3 hours long, and about 1.5 hours in I told my wife that I'm OK if we turn it off. But we finished it out. I'll never watch it again. But I don't regret watching it.
No, not really. I mean the cinematography is well done, lots of money obviously went into it. The beginning was kind of cool. The whole rest of the time you're just kind of wondering what the point is. At least I did until I stopped watching, who knows, maybe they explained what exactly Batman has up is ass later on, I dunno. I mean if it's really because of what happened at the beginning then aww, poor baby, you're buddy died while Superman was busy trying to save the planet. It could be me though, everything about it seemed so 'money grab' to me that I may not be giving it a fair shot.
Well, the Batman vs Superman fight was really short. Pretty odd since that's the name of the movie. But the doomsday fight is good. It just sucks that it takes so long to get to real action. Isn't that the opposite of Man of Steel? I heard that one had too-long fights.
The film was ok, slightly long winded and the extended version is a task to finish in one sitting. I'll probably never watch it again.
I watched it without sound and with Chinese subtitles on a plane last week. It seemed very confusing. I will withhold judgement until I can watch it with sound Also, noting any of the driving scenes, they look very slow moving without sound.
I watched it on a planet this month and I thought it was ok. I had very low expectations since I don't think I read a good review about it. It wasn't the extended edition and I think this helped. I really thought the movie was going to be worse.
I just finished watching batman vs superman on blue ray liked it and I will watch the extended cut at some point the only thing I was not happy with is Dolby atmos mix it's not as good some of the other blue Rays I have thats got Dolby atmos.
