Battery socket for sram n64.

    Sorry when I came up with the idea I didn't know if it would work( n64 game shield on has only so much room so the socket has to be rather short) ,but it did. Any how all the pics I have are of the board with the mod finished. First you desolder the battery then take a CR1220 socket like the on in the picture and bend the positive leg straight down then solder the holder to the board. After that take a piece of solid core wire maybe even a resister leg use it to join the negative point on the socket with the negative point on the board and you done.

    Btw the reason you use a cr1220 is because the cr2032 like what is in it plus a socket = very little space and requires much more work to get it to fit. Game used was dobutsu no mori.

    I realize I solder the socket at an angle I was buzzed when I did this.

    nice, but why not just use a 9v battery? or even a lump of plutonium
