http://www.gamespot.com/promos/bf2demo.html?tag=boxcar_all_download_image In case you missed that link, here it is again!! http://www.gamespot.com/promos/bf2demo.html?tag=boxcar_all_download_image Damn. Thing is, here are my system specs: AMD 2500XP (overclocked to 3200XP spec) 1gig RAM 9600 PRo All in Wonder Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Epox 8RDA3+ motherboard. The game runs smooth. I was hoping it would otherwise I would have to wait a few months to save up money to buy a new system to play this game. I had fun playing this game. I will post pictures of how it actually looks running on my PC. Basically, I don't have to upgrade my PC because of how good it ran on this system and how well it looked for a DX9 game. So for those of you who had worries that this game might not run decent or not at all on your system, there will soon be screenshots for you to see if it will run almost the same on your system if its around the same spec as mine. Its 3AM tired but excited after playing the demo for about 2 hours.
Ill check it on my decent but aged setup 2.0 cely(i know) 512 ddr radeon 9100 128 10k 880gig HD edit: didnt run so well, mabye 15fps, worse during lots of action. i quess it was playable, but not for me, i get so frustrated when you cant aim your gun becase of the framrate.
I won't even waste my time downloading it now. My PC won't run it for sure. And even if it did, it would be a unplayable fps. Sorry. :/
I was worried about it running at a decent speed with on my Radeon x300 but it runs fine. It's a great game, though I'd imagine it's much more enjoyable to play as a clan or at least a group of people who know each other. The commander and squad leaders are invaluable but totally under utilised on most of the public servers.
This game is extremely awesome. I played it until very late, and I played a lot of it this morning. It's very fun with someone you know.
Yesterday I was at an exclusive Battlefield II event from EA here in the Netherlands. With loads op pc's with the full version of it with an lan. I didnt play I only made some interviews and overall video impressions... and ofcource I tried the free beer over there. And I must say the game and its features looks pretty impressive.
Thought I was gonna have to SLi soon but it runs awesome on my system, AMD 3000+ 6600GT 1Gig DDR400 Only annoying thing is 1280x1024 isnt avaliable to me. Highest I can go is 1132x874(or something like that) which is annoying as the interpolation on the LCD takes a bit of the image quality away. Can't play on then net(fucking dial-up is the only thing avaliable. They get faster speeds to Mars then my house) but had a network game at the school the other day and it was pretty kick ass.
