I've always thought it was limited to 1000 copies only. (which is nice as I have a mint open copy and a flawless sealed copy). Love it too, great game.
funny, I heard also about that 1000pcs only. I think it was on ebay auction:lol: but just can't believe it:-( yeah, really funny game to no end and so unique of its own :icon_bigg
http://nijigame.free.fr/ Look in the collectors section under pce cd..says 1000 there also (although some of the site is wrong here and there so take with a pinch of salt) If the auction you mean was an ebay one a few weeks back then the seller got that info from the site nijigame too (as I know the seller and told him lol)

1,000 sounds a little low. I'd put it in the just under 10,000, but that's pure speculation. 1,000 copies of a PC-Engine game and you get really fucked up prices.
:true: specially, if the game is that easy to play for any foreigner and brings so much fun with it! if the game was limited to 1000pcs. only, the price have to be a multiple of sapphire e.g.
