..it was merely a video game apparently: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5-zAljF4B0&feature=channel I won't spoil the contents but after seeing it you might be wondering if this guy kept his job.
that's why I m posting this. To contrast the reality of the day with the legend it is now. It's all subjective after all
That was stupid, maybe they should leave the "video game humor" stuff to people who are actually funny.
judging from his other n64 reviews he seems rather "strict" to say the least on the n64 as a whole, finding flaws in super mario 64 etc. You just don't go around doing that.
Gotta love the quote "Nobody buys a game for multiplayer". Though I suppose back then it was alot more true than today.
The guy talks so much utter shit and in a terminator accent too. He's just so monotone. I gritted my teeth and saw the entire review and he didnt get any better. I didnt learn my lesson. HE'S THE SAME IN EVERY REVIEW.
Lol, Symphony of the Nights dissapoints for lack on cinematins!?!? Batman Forever, Skip the game even though the movie is GOOD??? The fighting game reviews are atroucious. He actually called Dan one of the top fighters in Alpha 2.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kKtpRjkGuU "Pac-man 2 (the new adventures), is without a doubt the best game ever for pacman!" what were they smoking? who was the target audience of these reviews back in the day?
Ah the days of mediocrity! when any b-class marketer could pop into a videogame show or magazine and start writing crap. I mean, what could you do, GO INTO THE INTERNET? good luck waiting 7 hours to turn a page! [sarcasm/off] The guy is a jerkoff, comparing RE1 to Mario64 please...
OK, where do these reviews come from? Were they originally video reviews or from magazines? The Alpha 2 review is hilarious, he actually thinks the movie has something to with the games, and the best characters are the ones with long legs! His voice is so annoying too.
It's all about the Dan. But hm - as a PlayStation fanboy back in the day I didn't care much for Goldeneye and still don't now. :110:
That video is brilliant and horrible all at the same time. "Don't play on the higher difficulties, you get the story on easy anyway!" Oddly I'd say this is on par with an IGN review.
