So... What is it that makes this edition Special? Or is it marked as such just to not lower the resale value of previous runs?
It's called the "20th anniversary edition" as the game was first released in Taiwan back in '96. The guys at C&E, Inc. are friends of mine in addition to business partners, and I have a great deal of respect for them. Fans kept writing in for the past few years, asking us to re-release Beggar Prince because they'd missed out the first time. I thought it would be a great homage to C&E to make a special edition, honoring one of their best titles. That thought never crossed my mind. See, we produce and sell our games to give classic gamers something new & cool to play. We'd rather those kinds of people buy our games, instead of the "let's stick it on the shelf, wait a while, then try and price gouge people who missed out" types. *shrugs* Well, at least we hope those re-sold games eventually end up in the hands of people who will play & enjoy them.
