The suns seems more shiny, the air fresher... no i hope he won't surface politics again :flamethrower:
Good news! I don't know how it took so long. From an outsiders point of view so many continental european politicians seem so blatantly bent/corrupt and really don't give a toss if anyone knows it. I know here in the UK there is plenty of corruption in politics, but at least it gets lots of public outrage when its found out. Its just a pity they get a slap on the wrist and then skulk back in a few years later (or just sell shit loads of books instead).
Fuck yeah. I hate that motherfucker. I hope he gets hit by lightning, directly to the genitals, then a bus runs him over and a dog takes a piss on him. Good news for Italy. Fuck Berlusconi. Fuck him SO much.
Nope, Sir. We still have the drug lord in charge in Mexico, though the rival cartels DID kill his secretary of state. They've killed two, so far (the first one being the president's best friend from way back - killed the night Obama was elected). But let's see how long this moron lasts. EDIT: Boy, am I asleep or stupid tonight? "last of the dinosaurs" in Italy, and I read it as meaning like "we just had that one to go" or something similar, and intended my reply as a way of saying - "some dudes still need to get ousted from government, let's hope ol' Silvio isn't the last one, cos ours sucks too". Been grading essays since like 10AM. Sorry.
17 years wasted with him at the wheel... hope he won't be allowed to destroy this country anymore... check videos online to see the celebrations at his resignments, people dancing in the squares, waving italian flags, a concert group singing Alleluja ecc ecc... gives a little more faith in the future!
He'll be missed. There's not that many politicians that can keep the socialists at bay like he did. Perhaps he'll come back.
No, we're good for now, thanks. But let's face it, Italy needs a strong leader. Keeping both the socialists and the mafia from any influence is borderline impossible.

this is what I was refering to earlier, it almost seems the case that many continental Euorpean voters and the media don't care if their leaders are bent. In the UK you'd get crucified if the papers got a whiff of organised crime being involved with politicians. Is it just the case that the people who buy papers there aren't bothered about reading stories about such? Big moneyspinner for UK papers. I like how concerning this 'Technocrat' is a buzzword. They don't seem to realise that most politicians under 35 are essentially technocrats anyway, seeing as they have politics degrees.
At least here the news and press are for 99% in berlusconi's hands, so many people have/had a distorted view of the reality/situations. shameful, i know.
