They're often made by Monster (cable) and they're like surge protectors, except theyre ment to improve video and sound quality by making the power to them cleaner. I'm a sceptic, to say the least.
Bullshit in a box. Oh, sorry, I meant..... They are devices which clean the "nastiness" out of your mains supply, giving you a purer, cleaner sound from your home hi-fi.
Well, if you have some REALLY bad wiring or extremely sensitive/touchy equipment, power conditioners can actually be beneficial. For the most part though, retro is correct.
Every six months or so I "lose " my credit cards, and get all new numbers. Never gonna happen lol. power conditioners, takes out all the spikes and "noise" so you don't get any pops or hisses from sensitive equipment. As he said, it's bullshit in a box.
Wow, sounds like a waste of money, like a lot of those placebo computer equipment that are mega $$$ but don't seem to do anything.
