I cannot really answer that for them but from what I have seen with personal experience , it's a week or two.
Universal shells fit in NA without modification to the system. The only issue is the front of the cart rubs against the NA slot a bit, not a huge deal. Only reason we offer NA version is because some people like the style and we often have donor shells that would otherwise be thrown away. The universal have slits in the back that allow them to fit in NA systems, thus why its called "Universal" and not "Japanese/European". Sounds right to me. As far as I know the SNES and N64 very literally do not have a mechanism to identify whether games are American, Japanese, or Korean.
