Anyways, I'm trying to get back into the DC via homebrew. E.g. translation patches and homebrew games.

But, I wanted to hear what everyone else loves.

I decided to make a list of the games I'm playing that are currently availible on the scene, and those that are hopefully coming out.

    The Current

    Beats of Rage/ OpenBOR

    The Future

Taxman's Retro Sonic (a playable version is availible though)
    SegaGaga Translation Patch

    The Hopefuls
    Sonic X-treme Remake/S

PS: my friend was able to burn a cd of OpenBOR awhile back. But, I've had no sucess of getting the latest & greatest version running anyone successful could they PM me. Because there's just so many versions out there.

Of course this list is horrible.

I'd really love to hear the opinions on everything.

As much as I love the DC, I haven't played around with any homebrew, people should contribute to this list so I know what to look for...

True as will Trigger Heart Excelia soon and Radilgy. Of course that and Last Hope are sorta 'offical' releases. As they will be sold in stores.

    PS:
Another homebrew title that look great is
Streets of Rage Remake, which is also coming to DC soon.

Exelica is an official release. It's by a company, who make video games, and is a port from the arcade.

Radirgy, also an official release, has been out for almost a year now.

Last Hope is an unofficial release. For all intents and purposes, it's homebrew/doujin... they're just charging for it. I need to pop mine in and give it a whirl.

Speaking of homebrew, anybody doing anything with Fenix? I have been meaning to try, but most info out there seems geared towards PC and GP32 development.

Last Hope is homebrew that managed to make its way sorta' mainstream. The sad part is it was written with KOS, the free dev kit written by Dan Potter (to which I contributed and used back in the day) yet they conveniently left off all references to KOS in the game and/or docs as is required by the KOS license....
