Also very interested in this, have been hooked on GT5 since I brought it (and normally not a fan of the sim type driving games)

Driving Force GT is the right choice.
You can spend more and get a G25/G27, but i wonder if it's worth it. It works with the game but it's not fully supported. Better check GTPlanet first.

    The compatible ones:

Driving Force GT GT Force Pro GT Force
    Driving Force GT Force RX

I'd say G25/G27 if it works properly with GT5

I've used one with GTR2/Rfactor on PC, and it is absolutely the best. Having a clutch pedal with a proper 6 speed 'box makes it damm impressive.

After I drove my Mini at Mosport this past summer, I checked it out via the sim GTR2, and the handling and feel were actually pretty close.

There's only one way to go for simulation:

    Logitech G25 and G27.

I personally have and prefer the 25, which offers a variety of ways for shifting gears, from stick sequencial to stick serial and of course the paddles.

It also sports a clutch pedal, mucho useful for those special driving moments;)

of course the wheel is made of really good materials as well, is compatible with the PC and offers up to 900 degrees of total rotation.

Where? Can you only get the RUFs as used cars? I had a G25 for GT5 Prologue and it was a great wheel but I didn't have anything to mount it to, so I ended up selling it because at the time I had no idea when GT5 was going to be released.

I've got the Logitech G27, great wheel but I'm not that fussed on GT5 TBH. Seems like an unfinished game, I'm enjoying the likes of NFS:Shift a LOT more.

I have NFS Shift and I find it disappointing honestly. I have the most difficult time with the game, its seems to have to much arcade physics and the line between transactions and 0% transaction often seems way to small.

I'll admit that GT5 has it short comings but ever car I've driven so far felt real, I can't say I've felt the same for NFS Shift, maybe its just me and the way I have the game setup . . .
