Well, whats yer guilty pleasure? On "Other" any game that allows you to catch monsters, Disgaea, La pucelle, whatever, is an option. Dragon seeds kind of games, or monster rancher. Whichever. "I CHOOSE YOU, ARC THE LAD 2!" I havent played any of Nocturne, yet, but if I do, it might be better than this one, but the Behemoth monster from ATL2 can be quite cool, helpful, and an added bonus is that he's a dragon that can fly wherever he wants on teh map. BTW, I love Dragons. You can tell by some of the posters in my room. :smt083
Pokemon because the gameplay is simple and it revolves around catching monsters whereas in Arc2, it really isn't.
I liked the first Jade Cocoon game. Mostly, though, because one of the monsters was named "Mamón", and that's a very funny swear word in Spanish. So I'm gonna go with "other"
I think the only "monster catching" game I've ever played (aside form Ghostbusters) is Dark Arms on the NGPC. You don't really collect monsters, you collect and evolve bio-arms, but I guess it's a similar concept. I enjoyed the game, so I'll vote for it. ...word is bondage...
I think I would like Dragon Seeds better if your level, equipment, and HP mattered in battle turnouts.
Yeah, I did too, back when the game only came out in red and blue...ya foo. Its too childish to me, now, and EVERYWHERE. Even if I want to get back into the series, there have been several installments, and maybe 5 or six hundred types of Pokemon. I dont guess I should have included ATL2, but they made a game, Arc Arena, just about catching the monsters and fighting them a la tactical pokemon-ish game. If I can, Im going to edit it to say Arc Arena/ Arc the lad 2.
Actually, Arc Arena (Which is only compatible with monsters from ARC 2) is just about fighting your monsters with friends and very Pokemon-like at that. I liked the main story with a side of a monster catching minigame of sorts, and I usually hate most minigames.
I might one day go back and get all the games, but how many are there? 15? OOH! I forgot the Digimon games. Are any of those any good?
Pokemon... man it felt great to play that game in beta stages. Metapod's harden attack regenerated all of its hp! i stopped playing after gold. memorizing the names of 600+ monsters, give me a break
