I know the quality of most combo systems is dubious at best, but my lady friend recently found a bunch of NES/SNES games and I'd like to be able to play them. I had a NES but it's seen better days and honestly I'd really prefer to only have one system hooked up instead of a massive mess of wires.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent combo system? Preferably not very expensive.

Duct taping together two units bought off of Ebay?
You could also try the Retron 3 or the FC Twin. The hardware is the same as other clones, though.

2 systems instead of 1 is only 2 extra wires (power and video). It's worth the extra money/space. A clone is never as good as the original hardware for many different reasons.

Also, man... haven't heard from you in a while.

USB Hub + cart slots wired for USB + GOOD Emulators + Retro USB ports for SNES/NES + decent Graphics Card = the best clone

You'll have to dig around for the Cart slots that connect VIA USB I know an SNES one exists somewhere.

Yeah.... I still lurk and post from time to time, but I've been in a weird place (spiritually and emotionally) the past few years and I don't really do very much anymore.

Thanks for the input. I did some research and it looks like there are sound anomalies in a lot of NES games and some SNES games are incompatible, at least with one of the clones I looked at. I have a working SNES, which I prefer anyway, so I'll probably just keep using that. If need be I'll just use an emulator for NES games; I don't have much interest in purchasing one since space is at a premium for me.
