Hi there everybody! I am about to install a MM3 in a original PS1 model SCPH-7502. I removed the static metal shield, which was soldered on to the motherboard. I now got the board lose, and I am able to solder the chip on it. However I am not sure exactly where to place the chip for best performance, and for not blocking the top shield where the laser is placed. I was told the the wire length, is an issue with these chips. So I thought I ask in here, before I started. Thanks ! - Mads
Looks good to me! It works I assume? Make sure you cover it with a piece of electrical tape or something.
I have covered it and it works just fine! Some cutscenes in burned games glitches out sometimes, but that is because of the actual burn, and not chip right?
