Feeling bad I never even got into the ps3 or 360 generation of games, or anything much after PS2 mainly into retro and feel like we've totally missed the bandwagon. What are some of your favorite or best games for these systems, I know this has got to be the best place to ask this question
umm.. best place to ask... i wonder why... you should play Forza 3 at least... and Kameo too (i love these) perhaps you'll like Gears of War and Street Fighter IV, they're very popular but I don't know if the popularity makes them "best" (I don't think you are really into popular games though, or you'd have played yearly sports games already i suppose...)
Let Metal Jesus show you the way, many of the games in these videos are multiplatform so pick and choose.
I probably put a few dozen hours into Forza 3 (get the Platnium Hits version, all the free cars screws with the progression, but they're worth it, plus most of them are on disc, so used won't hurt). The first two Arkham games are fantastic as well. Asylum is good, but City is a masterpiece. Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed is, for my money, the best kart racer that doesn't star a plumber. Test Drive Unlimited and Marvel vs Capcom 3 are both pretty decent games (I wish UMvC3 has more characters though). If you can find a copy of the Orange Box for 360, get it (the PS3 version only runs at 30fps because Valve and EA didn't know how to program on the thing). Virtua Fighter 5 is a quality title in the franchise. PGR 4 is good (though I still think 2 is the best in the series). I can't think of any more off hand.
I put a ton of time into the two Fallout games but you'll probably want to play those on PC along with Skyrim etc. If it's Betheseda you need console commands to fix their crap. I would buy The Last of Us if you haven't got the PS4 remaster and also the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus remaster compilation. That is pretty much essential playing for PS3. Probably Red Dead Redemption too, I could never get into it but most of my friends played it to death. I would avoid the Silent Hill compilation, they put no effort in to improve it and it doesn't have the first game either. Can't think of much more that you can't get on PC, kinda lost interest in consoles during that era but there are some exclusive gems for those systems.
I've met him and Kinsey in person. Great guy in person but his videos... Sometimes it seems now like he relies on his guests for any and all content. Kinsey is awesome though, was super willing to chat it up about games. Sometimes I'll find a decent title in his vids but other times I find it just annoying like when he talks about imports... Play Import Tuner Challenge for the 360 if you want a different kind of racing title @someguy1
