Hi i have about 50 old pc games in big boxes everything from loom to ummm Quake 3

Whats the best way to store these? and keep them from going damp/moldy?

At the moment they are just in a cardboard box covered in a thick plastic bag, is that ok?

Ive seen game boxes after being stored in clingfilm. Dont bother using that.

I wrap the ones i keep in storage in Bubble wrap and then in a brown cardboard box.

I unfold the boxes / inserts and store them in a plastic container since 80% of the content in them is usually just air.

1 - Keep them in a dry, dark place that won't get moisture or suffer from high heat or extreme cold. Don't store them in the attic or in a shed.

2 - Wrap them in archival quality plastic or at least a Polypropylene bag (won't decompose or leetch into the paper). You may want to do this with the discs and manuals too. Stick them in a acid free storage box.

3 - Your games should keep in great condition for a long time.

Inside a proper sized cardboard box, separated by acid free parchment.

A great thing you could do is buy a bunch of those silica gel packs that you find in some product packages to absorb moisture - this will lessen the likelihood of moisture/mold damage. Throw one of these in every box.
