Sorry the title of this thread isnt very clear so will try and make it even worse by trying to explain what i want to do ;)

ok i have a NTSC 32x and an asian PAL Megadrive

I have fitted a 50/60HZ switch to the Megadrive and that works fine :)

so now i want to do the 50/60hz mod to the 32x but instead of putting a switch on the 32x i want to have a way of connecting it to the switch in the Megadrive, the only way i can think of doing it is by having a 3.5mm phono socket in the top of the megadrive near the cartridge port and a 3.5mm plug sticking out of the bottom of the 32x can any of you happy smiley people think of a better way of doing this.

I've seen a mod where the mono audio on the AV port is replaced with the 50/60hz signal (gnd or +5v depending) - but personally I think that's a pretty horrible solution. If I were to do it, I think I'd probably go with a separate phono socket or something similar as well. I'm sure there must be some even smaller socket that would suffice though?
