Like I am having trouble getting FF4, FF5, FF6 english translations to work.
I was able to get Tactics Ogre - Let us Cling Together and Gundam Wing - Endless Duel to work oddly enough...

Also the European Terranigma gives me a message saying it won't work on my USA Snes hardware.

Do games like Secret of Mana 2, Star Ocean, and Tales of Phantasia work at all?

Thanks again for all your help! :mario:

Some games uses PAL/NTSC detection. You should modify your SNES for Terranigma.

Star Ocean has special chip inside, running on everdrive is impossible.

Some translation will work only on emulators - badly hacked roms.

Actually there's a converted rom for Star Ocean, that would work on SED, but the rom size is too large, so it doesn't work for that reason.

I think the problems you're having are related solely to header issues. I've begun to dabble myself in trying to get some roms to work, but haven't had any luck. The closest emulator to real SNES hardware is bsnes. Usually if it works on there, it will work on an SNES, but that doesn't mean it will also work on the Super Everdrive. The maker of bsnes also created a header tool called SNES Purify, which fixes the headers. It makes the games run in bsnes, but doesn't still work in the Super Everdrive. I posted a question about this on the byuu.org (bsnes) forum, and nobody responded.

    http://romhack.wikia.com/wiki/SNES_header
This wiki has a lot of information on the SNES header, but it's a lot there, and I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm not bad with programming, but I need a way to get feedback. I need some kind of error messaging as to what is wrong, otherwise I'm flying blind. And the Super Everdrive doesn't return anything but a blank screen.

Terranigma requires a patch to remove region lockout software detection if you want to play on a NTSC system. If your system is NTSC (US or Japan) then you shouldn't have any problems with japanese translated games on your system. If you do, test that the ROMs actually work on an emulator first. If you patched them yourself you may have had the already mentioned header issues.

i should have an hacked Terranigma Pal version that works like ntsc or something..
just let me check and i let you know later.

    Just in case..
why do you want to play an european Terranigma on the Us system in the first place.

isn't there a proper rom Us region version of the game?

If you have an ntsc system (doesn't matter the nationality) all the ntsc game should work just fine.
For snes/sfc/supernintendo only two region does exist.

I don't think you understand. He isn't trying to play original cartridges, he's trying to play the games on the Super EverDrive.

When playing other region games on the SED, all that matters is if the game has NTSC/PAL software detection. If it does, you need to patch the game to remove it. UCON64 has an option to do this.
