On a mega cd I recently purchased they wrote the price on the sticker but also wrote it in permanent marker right next to it (it's on top where the genesis sits) What is the best way to remove the permanent marker without melting any of the plastic?

I had N64 games covered in permanent market at the top (Somebody made their own end labels). Rubbing alcohol brought it off

    Time machine.

In the past I used rubbing alcohol to get black marker off of plastic surfaces. I think I just used a paper towel and scrubbed at it with the rubbing alcohol on the towel.

I use this for removing sticky adhesive left over from stickers. It will strip plastic when wet.

Anything solvent really, I used to use deoderant to remove marker although you might want something a little stronger and less toxic like rubbing alcohol.

    91% isopropyl Alcohol + Cotton swab(Q-Tip)

Dab the tip in some of the alcohol and go to town on the marker.
Occasionally stopping and using the dry side to also rub.
    It will come off eventually

I recommend this for games with fragile labels.
