    Hey Guys and Gals

I wanted member's recommendations for best wireless controller for a PSX/PS2 system. I love the Playstation 3 controller, but obviously can't use it with my PSX/PS2.

And yes I know you can play PSX games on the PS3, however I can't play import PSX games on my PS3.

Any and all recommendations are and will be appreciated!

    Thanks

The Logitech Cordless Action, even better than the DualShock in my opinion. However, the older revision with the colored symbols on the buttons (X, O, etc.) has probalems with a few games like MGS3. The newer one with two-tone symbols does not appear to have this problem however, so it's probably best to get the newer one.

Edit: Also, be aware that if you want to use this on the PS1, the receiver will obstruct the memory card slot.

Do you know if they are backwards compatible with the PSOne/PSX?

    Thanks

Why not just play your PS1 games on the PS2?

Honestly because I plan on using this with my DTL-H1001 Blue Playstation Debug Console. I'm working on programming a game for it so it. Thats why I need it to work on the PSX as well.

    Thanks

    Hey Guys,

After doing a bit of searching on amazing, I didn't find ANYTHING on google, I found these reviews for the Logitech Cordless Action Wireless Controllers

Logitech PlayStation 2 Cordless Action Controller Reviews with "PS1"

Sounds like it works perfectly with the Playstation 1, except a few people mentioned a problem with the receiver covering up the memory card port, but I'm not sure if that is the PSX or the PSOne, but regardless, I can just use the second slot OR get a PSX/PS2 extension cable to fix that issue.

So unless someone has a better suggestion for a Wireless Controller for the PSX/PS2, I think I'm going to do some eBaying for this controller!!!!

Thanks guys for all the information! Your helping me not waste money and that is always a great thing.

Hey thanks for the information about the buttons, I would have never know what the difference was!

Second, sorry I completely missed your edit which where you told me that it would work for the PS1 systems!!!

Thank you so much for the information!!!

    One more questions though!!!

What would be a good price to pay for one of these controllers?

    Thanks

Gamestop was clearing them earlier this year. I think I picked up 4 new ones for $15 each.

Thanks for the informations, know I know what a good price is for these controllers. I wonder if my local game-stop would have them . . . as much as I hate dealing with them, if they have them it would be nice . . .

The majority of PS1 games only support input from the first slot in a single player game.

Yes, I tried that at one point (forgot to mention), and it works fine but I got a bit annoyed with the wire since it's supposed to be a WIRELESS controller lol. It's the same for both PSOne (little one) and PS1 (bigger old one) btw, since they don't have much spacing between the controller and memory card slots as the PS2.

Actually I would probably get the extension cable regardless so I could keep my console hidden away from my kids and just use the wireless controller and use the extension for the receiver and put it where the controller could communicate with it but my kids couldn't reach it. For me thats a win win
