    http://www.shoppingmalljapan.com/

I use Shopping mail japan, their bidding system work realy great (you bid yourself in real time)

    So their fee are:

    1. Base fee of $5.00 for auctions up to ¥2,000.
    2. Base fee of $8.00 for auctions ¥2,001 up to ¥4,000.
    3. Base fee of $12.00 for auctions ¥4,001 up to ¥10,000.
    4. $1.00 fee for every ¥1,000 over ¥10,000. (rounded up to nearest 1k)
    5. $0.50 fee for every ¥1,000 over ¥30,000. (rounded up to nearest 1k)

To most interesting part is that they use batch shipping to their USA office witch cost nearly nothing (they include that price in internal japan shipping fee)

As an exanple shipping all my stored item in usa as cost me ~35$ IIRC (I bought nearly 10 n64 jap games) to Canada

I think they can store item for 6 month IIRC

So if your are in north america i think that SMJ is the best choice for europe i don't know if you gain from the batch ship to usa..

Also their web site look very ugly and they sometime forget to update you paid item statut. But you just have to contact the guy by email and he will update it without problem. So when you have problem just email them they are very helpfull, this is the main reason I like this service.

As for using yahoo japan, I have open my own account for watching item and when I want to bid I just copy the auction ID in the SMJ system.

Also biggeer item (like 64DD) are shipped direcly to you from japan, since they do not have much storage space there and that it's to big for batch shipping.

    I hope this help you.

Yahoo Japan Auctions extend an auction by 10 minutes or so if a bid is placed within the last few minutes. There is no sniping.

Yeah I know about this, but ofcourse it is better to bid 10 minutes before the ending then 3 days before the ending, just like on Ebay

SMJ can't delay your bid, so if you want to bid at 5 minute before the auction end you need to bid 5 minute before the auction end ;)

for me these are the most important because I want to buy lots.

    - lower value on packages to avoid tax
    - bid at last moment
    - cheaper mail options
    - rate at around 10%

Or is there a member from Japan that can help me out?

I forgot to say SMJ will ship your package as a gift if you ask to, also they can put any value you want for the total package if ask them.

So Just ask them to send as gift you will pay no tax at all.

I believe that auctions can be specified as non-extending. The notes section of the auction will have the following string: 自動延長はありません。 Having said that, most auctions do seem to be setup as auto-extending.

 ... but, there would be some fringe benefits, no? ;-)

The thing to watch with asking for a lower value to be specified, is that any shipping insurance will also be set at that value.

The only one that offers an auto bid service is Rinkya. They are by far the most expensive w/ the highest rates, and the worst FX rates. They aim for rate - 6 yen. SMJ & myself are rate - 4 yen.

I have a proxy that meets most of the criteria other than the sniping. I will likely add one at some point, but I have other pending system issues I have to attack first before I think of making the system feature rich.

I combine shipping and fees on multiple items as long as they're done at the same time from the same seller. Most of the work is getting the item to me, so if it's 3x the work, it will pretty much cost 3x the price. Looking at past boxes I've shipped, it depends on what you're buying, but 10% commission (not including internal shipping and xfer fees) is not out of the question. If your items are consistently about 5000 yen, it will be noticeably higher, though.

What I can offer the other guys can't is a semi-helpful search engine for older systems, and the system to alert you when items you want appear. Also, you get witty banter free of charge.

It's still not out and proud like our poster Phantasy Star at the Pride Parade, so requires a preapproved email address to access. If you want in, just PM me.

Having a girlfriend will generally cost you in the long run.
