Sega Direct ! Now remember that Sega Direct sell software for ALL formats yet just take a look at this weeks best selling top 5 titles.

Amazing isn't it!! Two Dreamcast games and one of them is number 1. Not bad for a system they deserted many years ago with a piss poor conversion of a game that ran on what is basically a Dreamcast in the arcade. The game I refer to is Puyo Puyo Fever. The arcade and all the other versions have a 3D effect while playing but the DC version doesn't ! Why is this? Sega really lost some cash by not continuing support.

the Dreamcast never died, SEGA's Big man did, and the rest were sell-outs anyway. Painful story.

    Interesting.

Looks like 3 of the 5 games in that list are of the arcade variety...Trigger Heart and Karasu being shmups, while Sangokushi is that card-based Chihiro strategy game that's been converted to the DS.

Arcade gaming thrives--in Japan at least!

yep, 3 arcade titles, yet another DC conversion to PS2 (Interlude) and of course you can't have a Japanese chart with out a RPG :) I'm off to the local indie arcade tomorrow afternoon for some Retro Core filming. THey have loads of those card game things plus the new Gundam pod game. I'll try to get some good footage without being spotted by the staff.
