Not to get off subject, but anyone who is seriously in the collector circles should know DreamTR's email address. He's been using it for quite awhile and has probably sold stuff to a few people on here. Hell, if you've been collecting for a decent amount of time you should also know his real name, current job and former employer. He's never been one to strive for anonymity, so you always knew who you were dealing with. And if you don't know who he is, well you obviously haven't been collecting for very long. Needless to say, most who see his personal collection (unless he's recently gone crazy and sold most of it off) place it as one of the most complete video game archives in the States. ;)

Personaly i couldnt care less to what your reviews are to who you are or to how long you have been on ebay.

Read the rules of the forum:
    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4888

Everyone has to follow the rules. No matter how much you think of your self you have to follow the rules. ASSEMbler him self follows the rules. Remember that person who runs this forum, who wrote the rules and allows you to sell things here.

Have alittle more respect for people when all they are asking you to do is follow simple rules.

"Items of over $500 must be accompanied by a picture of the
item with your forum name and the site's name visible in the
picture. (On a piece of paper, index card, etc) "

I have no problem with this auction. Please just remember that we value our members
    safety here.

Ill offer 140 for it + Shipping. Thats double the price they would have gone for at retail and since you are only paying for shipping from Japan - You for them I'd say your making out quite well

Thanks again for the support guys ;)

Paulo: The only thing I did not follow in the last post was the $500 thing. If that was an issue, I would have never posted the price, my mistake.

Now this thread there is no problem, I followed the rules. SO why the hostility?

Dot50Cal: Well, shipping via DHL Intl from Japan is NOT cheap, believe you me....Message me on AIM so we can discuss this further, and I can confirm somore more history about this piece.

  8. Sorry to cut in on your martyrdom, but there are a few issues that need to be resolved. First, quit taking the last thread as some sort of personal attack on your character, because it wasn't. You neglected to follow the rules of the forum, and when you were requested to change the details of your sale by lowering the price by a dollar in a ridiculous effort to evade the requirement of pictures, and you started in on how you were somehow a more legitimate seller than most others here, and therefore exempt from the rules, etc. etc.

I'm sorry, when you only have 20-some posts, regardless of how much dev equipment you've sold or how long you've lurked here, you're going to have to do a little work to convince potential buyers. Again, nothing personal, it's just the way things work. It's even quoted in the marketplace guidelines: "If you start selling items in the marketplace and are not participating in forum discussion, be prepared for a certain degree of distain."

But that's beside the point. The point being, you ignored the rules about including a picture with your sale as well as the rules stating no offers were allowed, and then when moderators asked you to change, you had the immaturity to drop the price by a measly dollar to 'technically' get out from under the guidelines, and then you had the arrogance to start talking about coming to this forum longer than some members and implying it grants you some sort of immunity. No. The rules are rules and everyone here follows them, period. You can keep going on about hostility shown to you, and people not trusting you and blah blah blah, or you can just accept responsibility for your actions: you did not follow the rules and were belligerent when requested to do so. THAT's the only issue here.

That said, we're going to drop the discussion now, as this is a new thread. I thank you for making the effort this time to comply with the rules; I only wish it would have been done with a little more grace.

I have participated in some answer/question stuff before, I am just not posting "regularly".

If you think what I had was "arrogance", you are mistaken. I was asked about this item, then attacked in the last thread. If DOES make a difference if I have been coming on here longer, and have been noted in the community as one of the top prototype dealers. If you think that has nothing to do with it, then I really don't know what to say.

I apologized in the last thread, but in all actuality, I FOLLOWED the rules if you really want to start nitpicking.

It clearly states 'OVER 500$ needs a picture, correct? Not $500 and over. On a technicality, I was NOT over $500 in my asking price, so in that instance, I was ebing attacked for no reason for not "following the rules", when in essence maybe they should be re-read.

It's ok, it's been sold. Thank you.
