We have met the keeper of the 3do flame.

Also, you may be obsessive compulsive, so welcome to the club.

    Holy mackerel!

Very very impressive. I wouldn't even like to think about how much all of this must have cost.

So much fail in one place.

By that I refer to the 3D0's popularity. That is a pretty impressive array of hardware. Given the system's failure rate that's about the number of back ups one can have :p

All joking aside what goodness is on this massive fail? PO'd, Gex, Super Street Fighter IIX what else?

I don't know, I'll have to give it some thought. :)

That keeper of the 3do flame bit made me laugh, and thank you for the OCD club admittance.

Neither would I. Besides the obvious M2 stuff and US hardware/software rarities, some of the Japanese software was massively expensive.

There are quite a few good titles for the 3DO. A lot of people don't realize the 3DO library is over 350 unique titles. Of course, a lot of this is not good.
Need for Speed, Road Rash, Dr. Hauzer, D, Warp has 4 or 5 entertaining little titles, Samurai Shodown, Lucienne's Quest, Wing Commander 3, Return Fire, Star Control II, and lots more.

Also - I added some pictures that didn't get copied over by mistake, including a pre-production Panasonic FZ-1 Operators manual.

So impressed, big 3DO fan here love your collection. Is the Korean LG 3DO proving elusive?

Amazing collection, seriously just amazing. I never really got into the 3DO at all and I had never heard of the 3DO blaster, but that thing is awesome. I might have to try and locate one just cause it is so interesting looking.

Despite my username i've never owned a 3DO but of course i do like the system and out of all the various video game collections this would be the one i'd want more than any.

Thanks for posting such a awesome and amazing collection with great pics.

If it is OK, please can I ask why you have so many multiple items? Especially of the Japanese not for sale/special software as I think they can be very expensive sometimes.

But again, amazing collection! Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks again to everyone for the kind comments.

I have the Korean Goldstar Alive I, but I am missing the Alive II - so still on the lookout. I have about 16 more Korean games on the way over to me next week, including a CIB copy of the forth Korean exclusive "Firewall".
I forgot to copy over a picture of the Alive I for the thread, so I'll have to add it later along with a couple of other pics which are missing.

Most of the duplicates were purchased in bulk lots, or group purchases in order to obtain a certain title or piece of hardware that I didn't have in the collection. That coupled with the fact that I very rarely sell anything 3DO related brings me to the current state of the collection.
The reason I haven't devoted much time to selling 3DO items, is partly due to the OCD ASSEMbler mentioned :), and partly due to the fact that I wasn't 100% sure what all I had. This collection stretches back 11 years and some items I was a little hazy on.

In addition to getting enjoyment from the platform and the collection, one of my motivations for amassing this lot is the hope that it will be a sort of museum to preserve whatever impact 3DO and M2 had in the history of gaming.

I opened this thread expecting to see a collection of maybe 40 or 50 games, and 3 or 4 consoles and associated accessories. Instead, I'm totally blown away by the volume and diversity of stuff you have - especially all the foreign and ultra rare software and hardware. This was just amazing.
