I bought an expensive item, and the guy packed it with housing insulation foam, the kind that goes on the outside of the house under the shingles or siding. The edges of the items? A supermarket bag 1/3 full of packing peanuts, and two small scraps of foam bedding. Fucking irate. All the boards inside the item broke free from the screws and rattled around and ruined themselves....
How does a board break free from screws going through it? I have dropped a PC from a tall building and none of the screws broke.
I had an fm towns shipped from Italy, it got throughly trashed because of bad packaging. I feel your pain!
Im sorry... WHAT? Insulation. The stuff that makes you itchy because it has glass fibres and other dangerous carcinogenics in it? That pisses me off. Here we have rare items, slowly being thrown away and basically unrepairable, because morons can not pack stuff correctly. Seriously. It is not that hard.
No idea but I shipped a Set 4 which is basically a PC chassis with custom mobo, somehow hdd came loose and knocked some capacitors off. It sucks in any case
You seriously have no luck at all with shipping. Do you buy all your items from wecan'tshipforshit.com or something? I use couriers daily for personal and work and have only ever had 1 item damaged in transit; it turned out to be only the outer box too in the end. How many claims do you currently have on the go?
