Black spots on gameboy screen :mad:

I received this gameboy from the mail. To my surprise the screen has these black spots on the right side of the screen. Can this be fixed at all? The console powers normally, as well the screen has no dead lines or rows.

Looks to me like it just needs cleaning and it's something on the screen

 

I already tried to clean those spots with isopropyl alcohol, they won't rub off

Using rubbing alcohol and applying a little pressure with a piece of cotton seems to do the trick...

 

That definitely looks like LCD cancer.
There is no way of fixing it.

You are right. I managed to wipe off a big portion but I kinda damaged the screen..
