Any gamblers here? I was wondering if people knew much about blackjacks odds. Not what the best strategy is, but whether you really have to be strict given the smallish number of hands one might plan in Vegas. I have friends that never, ever deviate from the book strategies. I tend to play a bit loose because I know I won't be playing a million hands and I want to have fun (and I play low amounts). So when you play 200 hands vs. a million hands, and the change is strategy only changes your odds of winning from 49% to 47%, is it really important at all? I think of it like flipping a coin. The odds are 50-50, but if you do it 20 times the results rarely will be 10-10. Same for 100 flips. Over time they will even out but you need a lot of flips to have it work out.
