Had to create a topic on this. Arksys is an amazing company. What they've done with the latest Blaz Blue shows so much love for the property and the fans I think it should make capcom really consider how much they put in their own releases. Capcom loves bare bones fighting games and because they're a giant, they get away with it. Continuum Shift looks unbelievable, its simply the nicest looking fighting game right now. This is what King of Fighters 12 wanted to be, beautiful pixel fighters with insane backgrounds. By switching the display option in the game to "version B", the screen will shrink alittle but no pixel boxes visible on the fighters, at all. If you have the first Blaz Blue, the sequel ups the visuals abit and theres added moves for the fighters, and a few new characters (some coming by DLC) But theres more, much more. Story mode, tiime attack mode, Legion mode (kind of a tournment mode but single player), challenge mode, fan art that you can unlock. They actually took the best artwork by the fans and put in it in the game along with comments by the fans on what inspired them. And of course the regular design team artwork. Its fantastic and its so worth it. I like Super Street Fighter 4, but I just think Blaz Blue is on another level in terms of presentation, features, and yes its abit more fun. Or maybe I'm just tired of hadoukens
Calamity Trigger is by far my favorite fighting game of this generation. Not that I dislike SSF4, but BlazBlue really feels so much more enjoyable to play and yes, the presentation is on another level. Graphically it's incredible, and makes SNKP's half arsed KoF XII effort even more laughable. As for Continuum Shift, I'll be waiting patiently for news of a UK release. I have the UK and US Ltd Edition of the original, but this time I thought I'd wait for it to hit the UK. I'm also feeling a bit skint and don't fancy getting stung for import duty and VAT. Again. Hopefully we'll end up getting some form of Ltd Edition over here as I'd really like the Noel figure.
Always been interested in buying this game. Especially since Continuum Shift came out so recently... Is it really worth the 60 clams? I just hope it has me hooked just as much as SSF4 does.
I've heard good things about it. Which do you think is the better version to get, PS3 or 360 (assuming they released it for both systems)? I think I like the PS3's analog stick better than the 360's, and the d-pads on both suck pretty bad.
Build/buy an arcade stick for your system of choice. I really don't think that there's any differences between the PS3 and Xbox versions of the game.
Continuum Shift is coming to the UK on October 29th :dance: Standard and Ltd Editions for both the 360 and PS3. The Ltd Edition contains a 96 page art book and 8 art cards. No Noel figure though :crying:
I'm glad the PAL release is coming so soon after the US release this time...took them FOREVER to release the last game in Europe. I bet nobody was even playing it online by that point :banghead:
I've been thinking of buying this one but I need to know if it plays like Guilty Gear or more like Street Fighter / KOF. The reason being is that I find Guilty gear annoying as hell and dont like the timing at all on it. Yakumo
mhmm... pardon me sir, but i own a ps3 and sony wont let me play my original games online anymore, so it's free to me.
