blew a fuse on the ps3 mobo

    hey, i fucked up while doing my ps3 project, i tried to hook up a fan to the ps3's main fan plug and it messedup, the mobo still works but i would like to use the stock fan port if possible

    So how did you manage that? Did you dump voltage into the fan speed sensor?

    i really dont know, i thought the grey wire was the sonsor and the other 2 were 12v and ground, apperantly te brown isnt pos and the black isnt neg...im an idiot

    What dash are you running? Hopefully when you fix that the fan speed will still work.(Is ps3 pwm or sensor? It only has 3 fans so it can't be pwm?)

    If it reads 0 rpm all the time then you have bigger issues.

    i know i wanted to use the fan to see if its overheating, like if the fan speed kicks up something isnt working right, but sinse it wont work oh well. and its running the latest ofw :/ so when i finish this mod ill jailbreak the system. i allready own a teensi from a ps3 slim downgrade i did

    Either replace the fuse or just bridge it with a wire.

    Don't do this. Fuse is there for a reason...

    You'd be ok with the stock fan with a bridged fuse, just don't use some weird wiring with the fan just keep it stock. Otherwise you can pull a fuse off of a different board.
