Blood (PC) - Monolith Productions, 1997

A friend of mine is looking for this, and rather than them register just to request it, I'm asking the community on their behalf.

Hang on, are you looking for the retail? If so, it's not freeware.

If you're looking for the original Alpha made back in 1995-1996 when 3D realms was the developer, I think it might be on the Prototopia folder (Check out the thread).

 

I recommend this version to play on current gen PCs:

It's a recreation of the game in the open source EDuke32 engine.
Minor differences to the retail version.

 

"Minor" differences like a missing final boss, and no expansion pack support whatsoever. Unless I missed a memo...?

Oh, you're right, the latest release seems to be way more complete. Now, to find out if it's running on vanilla eduke (edit: it is) (and if it isn't, where to find the source) so I can haz Linux version...

It does seem harder to me, too. Maybe that remake is still a bit off? I also tend to glitch through, or on top of enemies a lot, which doesn't help either.
