Can any one of you PC kings help me sort out this bloody scanner? I know it's not the cables which are the problem since the printer and card reader work fine but every time I try to run the scanner I get a TWAIN error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drives many times but still no luck. I even deleted all the Epson ref' from the regedit and all folders with Epson files both in Program files and Windowns Twain folder.

a twain error? not good. See if you can install paint shop pro and use the built in scanning program. If twain drivers are messed up, it's going to be a hard fix.

The only time I had a TWAIN error was when installing my HP (Forgot what model) Scanner with the HP's Corel Print House 2000 Disc...

Has the scanner started behaving like this, or is this the first time using it?

The scanner is a 8 month old Scanner/Fax/Printer/card reader ect in one. It's done this before but for some unknown reason I got it to run again. I read that it's a fault of the Epson Drivers being basically shite. I remember last time I had to manually remove shit loads of stuff but I can't find the site that told me what to do. I am running XP so I'll check out the Microsoft link above to see if that can help or maybe paintshop pro that Assembler mentioned. I'm currently running Adobe Photoshop 7.

Thanks for all the help guys. Finally got it sorted after 2 bloody weeks ! It turned out to be XP missing a file !! Now all I have to do is get rid of this annoying virus on my PC that keeps poping up shite every 5 mintes when ever I'm on the net, then I can get my FTP back up and running.

I thought TWAIN was dropped on newer printers/scanners/etc.

My Epson scanner is the only thing that ever causes blue screens on my PC, so I'd say you're right in that they're not the best of drivers...
