You know, these Nigerians piss me off with their piss poor efforts of scamming. I'm selling an iPhone on Yahoo Auctions and received the following private question from some arse hole in Nigeria.

I once sent a threatening e-mail to a Nigerian scammer I made up an undoable demand for the drop off of my money and what would happen upon failure I lost the e-mail but I said something like this.

" You will give me my money on my terms, at a location I determine, Oakland beach in Warwick Rhode Island. Failure to deliver my money will result in the US Millitary tracking you down and your family down and slaughtering you like the miserable pigs that you are. GIVE ME MY MONEY"

It was all for nothing though I never got a reply to my reply I was hoping they would respond.

I haven't gotten another scam attempt since though.

I suppose they won't get very far if they're sending the messages out in English. I dread to think what their Japanese is like! And why do they always have such weird sounding names?

It's always GMAIL... Always fucking GMAIL.

Really crazy, cause my dad had something advertised on a free advertising site which is owned by eBay. We had this guy call us so many times on different numbers with the same voice, and same questions. Don't understand why they try so hard to scam. Another time I had this guy call for a phone I was selling, and he said I give him $50 and the phone, and he gives me some old shitty phone... Glad I'm smarter than these so called "scammers"

Its not spam from gmail, they need to check the account and reply to things. It could be any service, there is no relation to gmail or not gmail in this instance in regard to spamming or anything.

I get these scam emails a lot, especially when I sell my phone/laptop or such goods.
Always do my best to waste their time.

BTW, there is a community outthere that loves to scam these scammers back: http://www.419eater.com/
    Enjoy and have fun

Did I say spam from Gmail? Scammers always seem to use gmail. I've never ever had a scam email sent to me by any other service.

Your post is implying gmail has some implication "its always GMAIL" or has something to do with it. It has nothing to do with it at all, other than being the largest email service (therefore, people are more likely to use it).

It used to be hotmail, it used to be yahoo and now its gmail. Its just business as usual.

Someday I'll actually go along with it, and send them a box full of something horrible. Like a rotten piece of meat. I'd really like to see if I get anything after that.

Dude -- not new in the least. They've been doing it for years and I'm *certain* that the latest upgrade to detect bots was because of them (and that was almost 2 years ago). Doubt it worked though. My proxy was down for a few days while I had to figure out how to get around it. Total fucking pain in the ass.

Anyway, I got similar questions when I sold my iPhone earlier this year. I screen grabbed it b/c my replies were... well... you can imagine.

Oh yes, I can imagine :D
I actually know two Nigerian guys. One is a total fucking prick who can't be flexible at tall regarding other people. Everything has to be his way, his time and his "correct" place. Man, what a prick he is. I'm glad I don't work with him. The other guy is pretty cool. Maybe a bit too proud to admit his own mistakes but an all-round good guy.
