Damn that's a beautiful machine. Too bad they usually have the first-gen laser in them.... I know that one says PAL on it, but weren't the debugs region independent?
Greatsaintlewis They are region free but I think the PAL ones need a power converter. You'd probably be better off getting an NTSC.
PSX Debug Region free and copy protection free does not mean multi-format! The NTSC debugs will attempt to run PAL code but they will NOT output a proper PAL signal (and they don't convert to NTSC either). Basically when you run a PAL game in a NTSC PSX debug you just get a nasty picture. I've not tried a NTSC game in a PAL debug so I don't know what the effect would be. I do know that a Net Yaroze unit *is* multi-format and will properly output both NTSC and PAL signals, even if they don't play beta code. That is the main reason Yaroze console are more desireable to collectors who play a lot. -hl718
I`ll check a NTSC disk in a Pal machine when I get home.....and hope I can find NTSC disk. I am sure even PAL machines are supposed to play anything
