I was toying with the idea of trying to wire in a bluetooth chip into my modded gameboy advance and was wondering if someone could back up my assumptions (still relatively new)

I found this chip when looking around:
    http://www.semiconductorstore.com/c...XSGbneSvoa1MKGu4RyGvO9fnxoCL5zw_wcB#Documents

And after doing a short read over the data sheet it appears to me that I can tap into the battery for power and then wire in the audio from the speaker into audio left for mono sound and then simply wire up a button for sync/reset and it will work. This seems far too easy and I really feel like I am missing something. Can anyone provide some insight and either confirm that what I'm reading is correct or not?

    Thanks

Pretty much. But there are much much cheaper modules that do the same thing.

I think that it should be connect to the reset signal of the sound chip, if there is one. If not, then maybe wire it so that it will never be triggered.

These modules can be used to just connect headphone jack to bluetooth, No need to connect to reset of any IC's. You will use barely any of the bluetooth modules pins.

I did something similar few years ago to add bluetooth input to an old radio. This is basically the same, but just using the bluetooth modules input (to then go out via bluetooth) instead.

Also did bluetooth serial interface into a cable modem.

You can probably find loads of tutorials as its been done to death.

Edit: OVC3860 seems suitable, it has a MIC input pin(s) and costs about $4

This is awesome thanks, I grabbed one of these off eBay from china for 5$ with shipping now just to wait two or three weeks for it to show up. Found a lot of project work online using the same chip so it seems like a good one to use.
