I was wondering if it would be possible to maybe boot Linux on the 360 when it loads. I read the thread about the file default.xex being loaded and resulting in E71 at boot time so I'm wondering if it would be possible to run something from a default.xex on a USB to boot Linux. Obviously, I'm not expecting to be able to do this straight away but this is what I want to achieve. I've also heard that it'd be possible to hook up the 360 to a PC and maybe debug it to see what happens when it boots up. The reason I want to do this via USB is because my 360 isn't vulnerable to the other exploits as I updated my dash.

Does anybody have any information? :)

If you want Linux on a 360, get a JTAG 360.

If you want to boot a custom XEX at boot, get a job at Microsoft and steal a copy of the private key.

Those are your only two options.

Right so I'm obviously going to go down the JTAG way, but i've updated to like the latest dash, what would I need to do? I've read that I can't do anything because i've updated.

Buy a system that hasn't been updated.
