I was wondering if it would be possible to maybe boot Linux on the 360 when it loads. I read the thread about the file default.xex being loaded and resulting in E71 at boot time so I'm wondering if it would be possible to run something from a default.xex on a USB to boot Linux. Obviously, I'm not expecting to be able to do this straight away but this is what I want to achieve. I've also heard that it'd be possible to hook up the 360 to a PC and maybe debug it to see what happens when it boots up. The reason I want to do this via USB is because my 360 isn't vulnerable to the other exploits as I updated my dash. Does anybody have any information?
If you want Linux on a 360, get a JTAG 360. If you want to boot a custom XEX at boot, get a job at Microsoft and steal a copy of the private key. Those are your only two options. -hl718
Right so I'm obviously going to go down the JTAG way, but i've updated to like the latest dash, what would I need to do? I've read that I can't do anything because i've updated.
