Let's throw random ideas together! I start. Echolocation-based visual halucination detector: A device that would use augmented reality glasses to ping what is in its sight. anything physical would blink twice in green, so anything that doesn't blink is a hallucination. If the device is tampered with (for making someone look as if they're a hallucination when they're very much physical for exemple), the user would be notified the next time a scan is done, as the objects would blink red and a warning message would appear on the hud. the security would be polymorphic so that cracking it to disable the tampering detection wouldn't be an easy thing to do.
Always-loaded software hub for PCs: A program that would replace the regular gui for windows and linux operating systems that would load up to 9 programs at the same time and keep them open all the time so that the user can switch to them instantly. while the hub is in use, the keypad on the keyboard would be reserved for use as shortcut keys to switch to the 9 programs loaded, with option for a visual effect where the apps are tiled based on their keypad shortcut keys, and would scroll accordingly (pressing 9 would scroll to program #9, and then pressing 1 would scroll down to it, etc).
I didn't give you permission: A program that would allow you to set up parameters to eliminate annoyances such as Media Player Classic stealing focus when it switches videos in a playlist or a program showing a popup that switches to that program while you were doing something else. Additionally it would allow you to set up scripts such as preemptively blocking any web browser pop ups/unders (the program would detect if you have opened the pop up by yourself by clicking on a link or if the web page you're on did it by itself). Basically it would let you tweak your computer according to the stuff you give it permission to do or not.
