Hey guys, i went to the Brasil Game Show today and was able to play some games that aren't available yet or are about to be released. I'll promise to post some pics later on. So let's start.

Forza 4 - It was the final / retail version. Simply fantastic! There's some aliasing here and there, Nurburgring still feels "easy" and some other minor complaints (like the loading time seemed very long). But it does look great, sounds great and the simulation feel is very good. Couldn't test it for a long time, but what i had the chance to try was spot on. Believe me, i'm really thinking on getting a 360 just for this.

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer - Don't know if it's the same as the beta available on PSN, but anyway it was very fun and i felt it had some improvements over U2 multiplayer. No doubt it will be a success.

Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest (Move) - Really fun, more than i expected. Only played for like 5 minutes but somehow it got me interested. The controls feel very good and there's no controller lag. Will wait for it to be released and read the reviews. Hopefully it will get good reviews.

Street Fighter x Tekken - After waiting for 40 minutes (long lines), i was able to play it. Fortunately, the Sony people brought some Fighting Pro arcade joystiqs for everybody to have the best experience possible. The game felt a bit like Marvel x Capcom, but since i haven't played that series in a long time, maybe it's just me. Anyway, i really liked the game (and i haven't been interested in fighting games on this gen... ). The same is true for everybody else. Everybody left with a big smile on the face. There's no doubt it will be very successful. The characters available to play were: Ryu, Kazuya, Ken, Nina, Guile, Marduk, Abel, King, Chun-Li, Bob, Cammy, Julia, Sagat, Hwoarang, Dhalsim, Steve, Poison, Yoshimitsu, Hugo, Raven, Ibuki, Kuma, Rolento, Heihachi, Zangief and Lili. PS: Yoshinori Ono (game producer) was at the event and signed posters for some fans. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to get one.

PlayStation Vita - Was hoping for it to be available for testing, but only one system was on the event, and was for the press to test at closed doors. Damn you Sony. :banghead: EDITED: A friend of mine just said Sony surprised everybody by putting two PS Vita's available for everybody at their booth. But when they did that, i already had left the event. Wish i could go tomorrow...

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon - What a blast from the past. Even though it's the first time the series will use real places, the Ace Combat we're used to is all there. Only tried it for 3 minutes, but i did liked it.

Games like Battlefield 3, Lego Harry Potter Years 5 - 7, Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports Season 2, Just Dance 3, Fifa 12, PES 12 and so on were also at the event, but i couldn't be bothered to join lines to play those. I did tried to play Batman: Arkham City, but the lines were huge so i gave up.

I did try Gears of War 3 (never played one game of this series) and it was good. It was better than i expected. But somehow i never got interested on it (don't know if this happens to any of you). Will try it again on a PC to see if like it.

At the Sony booth, i could try God of War Origins (remastered PSP games) and Ico / Shadow of Collosus HD. Both God of War games looked fantastic, they really don't look like PSP games. Also plays brilliantly just like any of the God of War series. Same is true for Shadow of Collosus. Ico looks great too, don't get me wrong, but there's no way to hide it's a last gen game. But at least it got a nice HD treatment. Both of these compilations are a must buy and i'm glad i already got them (can't wait for them to arrive). Also was able to try Resistance 3, and while i did enjoyed the single player, the multiplayer wasn't that good. Knowing it requires an online pass, i'll "pass" this one.

Tried the 3D gimmick once again, both on the PS3 and 3DS (this one for the first time). On PS3, Killzone 3d mode is cool, but it simply doesn't give me a reason to buy a 3DTV. As for the 3DS, Nintendo wasn't on the event but there were some games to play at the NC Games booth (Brazilian game distributor). I tried a Lego Star Wars game, and while it was surprising to see 3D without glasses, it didn't convinced me to go out and buy it. Plus, i didn't liked the analog controller.

That's it. Was a very good day and again, a great event.

Nice!! Can't believe I just found out about this, I've been in Brazil since Thursday night, where is the event being held at Johnny? Rio?

It's nice to see events like these are becoming more popular in latin america, a similar one is being held at Mexico right now (it is called "Electronic Game Show" or something like that).

Yes, it's in Rio. In the Centro de Convenções Sulamérica, in downtown rio. Close to the Estácio subway station. Sunday is the last day and it will probably very crowded. Plus i don't know if there's tickets available.

Nice to hear that you liked Forza 4. I've just got myself the 360 wireless wheel to play with it. Man, those hings are very expensive in Japan. I can't wait for itto arrive on the 13th.

    Dude! pics?

Bummer about the PSV, and don't hold your breath for GoW3 on the PC.

I may get a PS3 to finally play SoC in HD, anyways, I hope namco doesn't go all hawX on us with the new ace combat, the trailer was too tom clancy/modern warfare for my tastes.

I played the 360 demo of the new Ace Combat and didn't like it at all. Far too Hawk like for me. Plus you can fly a helicopter gunship! What's that all about ?

I was so looking forward to this as well. Oh, and the graphics on the city are turd. Looks no better than the Dreamcast aero dancing games as far as city landscapes go.

    Next year.

I'll post some pictures very soon.

As for the GOW, i was talking about the first game. Maybe if i play that one, i get interested on the series.

Well, i only played for 3 minutes and controlling an plane so i can't say much. Anyway, it was fun to the point it reminded me of the previous games. I thought the graphics looked good, but again can't judge much for 3 minutes.
