http://gear.ign.com/articles/865/865610p1.html anyone in Japan ever come accross this beauty? I d love to own one (or four) and I m sure some other folks around here would too. This controller was released (?) in April 2008 for the Wii (although a standard white GC controller) so to satisfy Brawl players. Additionally, the controller seems to sport a 3 Meter cable, which is considerably more compared to the standard GameCube controller's wire length. Finally, the retail price is about 20USD, so don't rip me off in case you re offering a service =)
Why would you need a cable that long? A standard Game Cube cable is good enough. Now the SFC cable was indeed one that needed sorting out. Japanese have small homes but that cable was just taking the piss. Yakumo
Before I got me a wavebird I had to move the TV closer to the sofa every time I was going to play some GC games.
the long cord is a must for me. I ve always found the original GC cord length limiting even in the smallest rooms when it comes to multiplayer etc.
Well a standard gamecube controller cable is not long enough for most of us. I can't even sit on the coach because the cord is to short. However I must admit that this 'new' controller is exceptionally long. (Why didn't they make a new wireless controller!)
in 4 player Mario Kart/Smash Bros, one of my friends almost always ends up knocking my Wii over. The cords really are short. Annoying long cables suck too though. I wish Wavebird had rumble.
Solution: Lay Wii down (and preferably remove top covers) when playing Gamecube games. That's what I do, and I thought that was obvious. Even by removing the top covers, you'll prevent snagging by any players on the left. On a special note (and not saying you've done that), I remember reading once about some dumb kid who complained because his Wii kept tipping over, even when in the stand because 'it was too f***in' thin'. He didn't actually bother to find out what the clear round bit of plastic was.
I ended up having to lay it down. It's just that the Wii was standing up for a reason; there's a billion other systems on the same shelf, and having it stand up saved a ton of space. I've got the plastic thing and covers removed too, lol. It was basically because my friend is one of the people who fling themselves everywhere when they play something. My solution was to tell him to calm the fuck down. Not like we play Wii anymore though. Those cables really are short, Wavebirds are good to have!
How come I didnt know these existed?!?! Look at that beautiful white, and an ACTUAL LONG CORD! Thats one of the only problems I had with controller cords. The Gamecube. They are just too dang short. I have had my wii fall over aswell from over-excited friends. And I usually have to move the Wii/Gamecube closer just for the cables to reach. :crying: These controllers look awesome! Ima search for one. :110:
