Broken Arms Cause Arcade Unit Recall

Arm Spirit, as I'm sure you can surmise, is an arcade arm wrestling simulator. Atlus has now recalled these machines (150 in total), after 3 cases of players breaking their arms.

Anyone played this particular machine? I've played a few of these in the states, and they were never strong enough to break my arm. Although Atlus' spokeswoman says that these aren't either, so...

they're all weaklings. i would break the arm of the machine! so then they have to recall those machines in the other way.

 

Wow, I would have never thought that one of those machines could break someone's arm...

According to this source (in Japanese) among the 3 that broke their arm/hand there were one tourist from France and one from South Korea.

Not that it means anything though...

 

Man pitched against machine, not really a good idea all things considered.

 

I hope the fixed machines will have hydraulic pumps as arms. ;p

 

I remember almost breaking my wrist punching the boxing arcade game, Sonic Blastman or something. Ouch.

And I'm not limp wristed either.
